How to order custom cakes and cupcakes?

Best way to inquire about custom cake or cupcake order is by email. Our email address is couturecakestn@yahoo.com. When inquiring about a cakes or cupcakes, please send us the date of the event, number of servings, links or pictures of the cake and inspirational materials( invitations, pictures, magazines, stickers, or color swatches).  Please note that design of actual cake or cupcakes may vary if customer wants Couture Cakes & Sweets to replicate another cake artists design.

 How far in advance should I place the custom cake order?
As soon as you know the date of your event, please contact us. We can only  accommodate certain number of custom orders on the weekends due to our limited kitchen space. We recommend a minimum 2 week notification to complete your custom order. Weekend dates usually fill up pretty fast.

The total price of your order depends on the following: number of servings, the complexity of the design, delivery and set up time at the venue (if applicable).   For Wedding cakes, a minimum of 2 month notification is preferred.


Deposits/Retainer:  A 50% non-refundable payment/retainer is required in order to reserve your order.  The payment/retainer amount goes toward the balance of your order.  This amount is non-refundable. Payment/Retainer must be paid at time of order placement.  If order is placed during the week of event, the full amount of the order will be due.   No retainer/payment. No saved date . No cake. No exceptions


Consultations/Tastings

We meet with clients for tastings by appointment only. Please call to set up your consultation appointment.  There is a $25 fee for all consultations/tastings.  The $25 fee will go towards the balance of your cake if you choose to order from us.  Consultations are done for orders of 75 servings or more.  For consultations and tastings, we ask that you limit your party to four (4) people including yourself.

We also offer "Pick Up and Go" tastings where you can stop by and pick up the available sample cake in a to-go box during regular hours. "Pick Up and Go" tastings can be done for any event size.  There is a $25 fee for our "Pick Up and Go" tastings.  The $25 fee goes toward the balance of your cake if you choose to order from us.


 Ordering and Payment: Orders are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We book up pretty fast,  so we recommend to put your order in at least 2 weeks to a month before the event date. (I reserve the right to reject any order or close my order book at anytime based on availability.)

We accept cash and credit cards. All of our cakes are custom-made and decorated to order. Since each item is one-of-a-kind, 
our cake prices are based on the ingredients used and time required for assembly and decoration.

A non-refundable payment/retainer is required to secure your custom order. Final payment is due upon pick-up or delivery on the scheduled date.  Prices do not include delivery fee. No order is final until we get all the information we need for the custom cake and a payment/retainer.


Balance:  The balance will be due a week before pickup but can be paid anytime before then. (this excludes wedding cakes).


Cake Pick Up:  All custom orders must be picked up by noon on date needed (unless other arrangements made).  We are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so any order for a Sunday event MUST be picked up on a Saturday. 


Delivery:  There is a $50 delivery fee within the Nashville area. Outside of Nashville, delivery fee based on distance


Allergy:  We do not have dedicated equipment to produce allergen free desserts so it is important to know that all our sweets are produced in a facility that also processes milk, nuts, wheat and soy.


Cancellation and return policy: If a cake needs to be cancelled, all payments/retainers that have been made are non-refundable.  However, payments/retainers that have been made on a cancelled order can be used towards another custom cake.  The payments/retainers have to be used within 6 months of the original order's event date. 

Any changes (date, color, size, decoration, etc.) to the order must be done one week prior to pick up / delivery or there will be an additional charge of 25% to change the order. 

Due to tedious, handcrafted nature of our products, we are unable to provide refunds or exchange custom cakes or cookies. Please contact us if you have any questions at 615.348-5742.
